Whether you are moving to Tenerife or already live here and your children are reaching the age where you need to start thinking about their education, we hope this article about schooling in Tenerife is of use to you!

Luckily, there is a great offer of choices for schooling in Tenerife. If you’re looking for a British school in Tenerife, we would recommend Wingate School in Cabo Blanco for the South of Tenerife and the International British Yeoward School and Trinity School in La Orotava, in the North of Tenerife. Both English schools operate on a fee paying basis and follow the British National Curriculum.

If you are looking to send your child to a Spanish school, then we would highly recommend Martin Luther King in Aldea Blanca. You must however be a resident of Spain and be paying social security for you to send your child to a Spanish school in Tenerife.

Wingate School opened in October 1982 with 7 children and has grown so that there are now over 300 children in the age range of 4 -18 years.
