Meet the team
Over the past 30 years as an Estate Agent in the Canary Islands David Wood has had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the Canary Islands finest, most talented and respected professionals throughout the islands. Today it gives him great pleasure to introduce “The Team of Professionals” at Woods the Estate Agents.
Sales & Marketing
From small beginnings at the height of the Tenerife property boom in the early 80’s, David Wood worked with Pedro Luis Suarez Martin, owner and founder or Gomasper S.L., official building contractors for the government.
Developments such as La Colina, Victoria Court One, Paloma Beach, Victoria Court 2, San Marino, Edificio Don Antonio, The Heights, El Mirador (Los Cristianos); Andorra, Andalucia, The Paradise Club, Balcon del Atlantico (Playa de las Americas); Oasis Tropical and La Serena (Callao Salvaje) Granada Park as well as El Mirador in Los Cristianos, La Finca, Las Vistas in Aguilas del Teide and many more fine developments throughout the Canary Islands.
Rhyming off a list of developers and developments that David Wood has been involved with is like listing a royal Who’s Who of the overseas property scene. Some would say it’s easier to produce a list of who he’s not worked with. For over 25 years, Wood has been instrumental in brokering the best deals between developers or private owners and those looking to buy apartments and villas in in the Canary Islands.
Chris Wood BA (Hons)
Sales & Media Marketing
Chris Wood was born in Las Americas, Tenerife. He spent his school years at Wingate School in Cabo Blanco, Tenerife and decided to finish his studies back in the UK.
Upon completing his A-levels in Art, Physical Education, Biology, Spanish and Geography, he went on to gain a 2:1 BA (Hons) Degree in a Hospitality Management course in Leeds. During his time at University, Chris Wood focused more on the marketing, financial and business planning side of the course and used his dissertation in 2009 to formulate a business plan for the expansion of the family’s Fish and Chips shop brand in Yorkshire. By 2012, Chris and David stuck to the original business plan and built a small chain of very successful takeaways and a restaurant.
Having learned a great deal in managing a business and dealing with customers, handling staff and marketing, Chris feels the need to return to his home in Tenerife where the property market is on the rebound and follow in his father’s footsteps and create a successful property business.
Chris is fluent in Spanish and is now learning Russian. He’s an avid surfer with several other hobbies including photography, scuba diving, competing in triathlons and also has a keen interest in politics – but now TRIES to avoid talking politics at all costs!
"I look forward to the challenge of finding the right properties for my clients and helping them get through the entire buying process and settling in in their new home. If I were to list the values I believe in adhering to at all times, they’d be sincerity, honesty and reliability."
